We believe in using our talents and abilities to help our towns and neighborhoods prosper. Here are just a few of the ways we have worked to help make our communities a better place.

Habitat For Humanity - Huttig is one of the largest domestic distributors of home building products in the country. It only made sense to partner with one of the largest organizations working to eliminate homelessness and substandard housing. We donate building products to Habitat Restore locations across America where surplus building materials are sold at a fraction of the regular cost. The proceeds from these locations go to fund local Habitat for Humanity chapters. We also participate in building Habitat for Humanity homes in St. Louis and across the country.

In addition, our branches are actively involved with efforts in their local markets. For example, in 2009, our Columbus, OH branch worked with ABC Television's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to provide exterior doors for a project house. That's just one example of the ways in which our branches strive to help their communities, something that's been part of our culture since Day One.
